Customer Reviewsfrom Homewood, IL USA February 17, 2008 We're going to use this unit a lot.We chose the Alesis Multimix 16 USB 2.0 for our class in recording techniques because it was affordable for our small community college. Installing the drivers and getting the interface up and running was the easiest process I've encountered in 20 years. We haven't had one audio dropout, no freezeups, and it works as well with SONAR as it does with Adobe Audition. The audio quality of the mixer output is way better than you would think. Having two aux sends, gives us the flexibility to send one mix to our monitor in the booth, and a separate send to the house sound while recording and reinforcing live music events in the college auditorium. The layout is a lot like the Mackie 1402 with familiar features like alt3/4 mutes, solos, pre/post aux 2, selectable monitoring at the outputs, and all the ins and outs are on the top of the board, perfect for location recording to a laptop. We're going to use this unit a lot.from Illinois May 31, 2010 No 64 bit driver supportWorks fine with 32 bit, but if you want a mixer going forward, this isn't it. Alesis seems unable or unwilling to update their drivers and their response is find a supported OS.
