Four No-nonsense, Great DIs!

The Whirlwind MultiDirector rackmountable 4-channel direct box converts an unbalanced line, instrument, or speaker signal to a low-impedance balanced level. The Whirlwind MultiDirector features 1/4" parallel wired in/out jacks, as well as a ground lift switch to help eliminate buzz and hum. A 30dB pad switch is also onboard to let you work with speaker-level signals, as well as line-level signals, and a very useful high-cut filter switch cuts down on amplifier noise when engaged. This 4-channel DI uses Whirlwind's TRHL-M transformer with a metal shield, so you know you'll get top-quality performance from the Whirlwind MultiDirector.

Tank like DI

I've had this DI for at least 20 years, yes twenty years. Sounds great, works perfect, I've never had a repair.

Only gripe would be that "some" XLR's won't lock into the whirlwind male XLR connectors for some reason. I don't really know why, but that small flaw doesn't ruin this box.

I wouldn't be surprised if this DI outlast my lifetime.

Whirlwind MultiDirector

Got my MultiDirector in 1993 and its still performing. Used to hookup legacy keyboards i.e., Kurzweil K2000, Yamaha V50, etc. These unbalanced sources convert to balanced with this box.

Does what I need

It has all the controls on the outside, so the sound crew can easily make adjustments as needed. With the rear connections, I can still have it connected to the gear in my rack. Nice clean sound!
