Moog's Classic Analog Pedals … Reinvented!

Moog Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins are meticulous digital re-creations of the company's classic — and universally lauded — analog effects pedals. Designed by Bob Moog in the late '90s and early aughts, Moogerfoogers packed Moog's modular synthesizer technology into compact stompboxes for use with guitars, vocals, and non-modular synths. These effects pedals enabled musicians to process, modulate, filter, and otherwise mangle any imaginable audio source. This bundle includes seven inspiring effects plug-ins that are guaranteed to turn your tracks inside out — in the best way possible. To top it off, these plug-ins include features that weren't present in the original units. Replete with sounds you won't find anywhere else, Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins are a must-have bundle for every music creator.

Moog Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins include:

  • MF-101S Lowpass Filter pairs a classic Moog ladder filter with an envelope follower for thickening, funkifying, and distorting sources.
  • MF-102S Ring Modulator pairs a wide-range carrier oscillator with an LFO for everything from subtle tremolo to metallic ring modulation.
  • MF-103S 12-stage Phaser is a descendant of the original '70s-era Moog phaser with an onboard LFO.
  • MF-104S Analog Delay delivers repeats teeming with rich, full-bodied bucket brigade character.
  • MF-105S MuRF combines a resonant filterbank with a pattern generator and a skewing envelope for a vibrant, animated effect.
  • MF-107S Freqbox is your one-stop shop for freaky, synched VCO sounds.
  • MF-108S Cluster Flux yields modulation effects, including chorus, flanging, and vibrato, swarming with bucket brigade vibe.
  • MF-109S Saturator models the input drive stage of the old-school analog Moogerfooger stompboxes.

Beyond mere re-creations

While Moog's primary goal in creating Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins was to replicate the lush, distinctive sounds of the original hardware, they didn't stop there. These plug-ins include new modes that turn mono effects into stereo ones, switch between delay tonalities, modify envelope responses, and more. All parameters can be automated within your DAW, and you can save and manage presets. There are countless Moogerfooger aficionados here at Sweetwater, and we're stoked that we can finally use these one-of-a-kind effects in our DAW sessions.

More than the sum of their parts

The original Moogerfooger units were more than the sum of their parts, thanks to their flexible control voltage I/O. Indeed, old-school Moogerfooger users were able to combine these stompboxes into a dynamic system of interrelated effects. Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins emulate the original hardware's CV interconnectivity, enabling each plug-in instance to modulate the parameters of any other Moogerfooger instance across your DAW session. You also get digital attenuverters for every CV input, sidechain capabilities, and DC offsets, arming you with ultra-deep control over every element of your sound.

Effervescent Effects!

Wow, better than expected richness and dynamics added to any instrument, etc... I thought I was exploring the sounds for a few minutes but over an hour had gone by so quickly. The effects are dramatic and creative. Super impressed!

Absolutely Worth It

I bought the hardware versions of 4 of these effects a few years ago. They were were somewhat expensive and it wasn't at all easy integrating them with a pedalboard. However, they were very well built and they gave you thousands of ways to get very extreme sonic effects. Also, they sound great - I still use them. I was really glad to see these come out as software and bought the suite right away. Glad I did. I got three NEW effects to work with, and the price for ALL SEVEN plug-ins was less than ONE hardware unit. The registration and authorization process was definitely a pain, but that seems to be the case with just about any music software. In any event, I was using them within an hour or two of downloading. They have all the great flexibility of the original pedals, and then someone capabilities! Presets are a really helpful feature to get you started creating something wild and crazy. To sum up - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Love these

These are a must have. I have been eyeing these ever since my first experience with them in an Avid Pro Tools environment and was sad to find out they were only Pro Tools compatible. So when I found out they came ourt in VSTs, I grabbed them. They are awesome.

Long awaited Moogers in my studio armory

My first interest was in the filter-Fooger. I have owned a Mike Biegel Musitronics Mutron III since 1977. For me, that started the envelope filter stompbox game. I haven't gotten the hang of it quite yet. For example there's not up/down rocker switch the envelope from "wah" to "chir". But I look at exploring the whole collection as I would exploring something familiar but still new. So far, I really like what the collection offers sonically.

Want real Moog sound? Take it from the die-hard analog synth masters here at Sweetwater: buy a Moog. It doesn't matter which one; their synths start at top quality and only go up from there. Sweetwater's relationship with Moog goes way back, and some of us fondly remember the last time Bob himself came to visit. Over the years, we've had the honor of watching Moog grow and evolve, and with synthesis experts like Daniel Fisher on staff, we're still one of the first companies to catch wind of new Moog products - they never fail to impress! Whether it's a classic reissue, a breakthrough new keyboard, or even a cool effects pedal, you can be sure anything you get from Moog will make you happy, and we'd love to tell you all about it.
