IK Multimedia Miroslav Philharmonik ReviewsSweetwater Advice
Tony Dayton
Can't fit an orchestra, ensemble, or choir into your project studio? No problem! Miroslav Philharmonik makes them accessible from your DAW with amazing realism! Even better, its user interface is easy to learn and simple to operate while being absolutely powerful. One of my favorite features is the acoustic placement: All elements of the orchestra are right where they should be, without need for panning or effects. Beautiful!

WOW - I have not played and heard strings this expressive before! The realism is stunning in this refined virtual instrument and the ease of use - second to none. This is now my first choice for orchestral sounds and quite possibly my favorite. Even sounds in the "other" category such as acoustic pianos and classical guitars are breathtaking.
Customer Reviewsfrom Norfolk, Va November 16, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist Miroslav PhilharmonikI was an original purchaser of the Miroslav Vitous Sample Library many years ago. In the years since then, I have bought just about all the other libraries. I return time and time again to the Miroslav library for sweet sounding orchestral sounds. It says something when you are sitting on about $8,000 worth of sounds and you always go back to a $200 library. I do not agree that you always get what you pay for. Some of the other libraries beat MP in certain instances, but many are thin sounding and harsh. This is a wonderful library and diligent work with it can produce amazing results. Most importantly, for a beginner, this library is by far your best bet.from Boca Raton, Florida November 6, 2009 Music Background: Composer; Musician Stay away if you use Cubase on 64-bit computersI had the pleasure of using this plugin for a year on my older 32-bit machine. Unfortunately, when I moved to a 64-bit computer, and installed Cubase 64-bit, the plug-in was no longer working. The bad news is that the company won't support me. There is no fix available and no timeline for resolution was set after weeks of discussion with their support team. So... consider for 32-bit platforms, but stay away for 64-bit using Cubase!!! It's unusable.from Florida June 17, 2011 Music Background: Recording Artist, and Film Composer Miroslav A Quick Fix for Orchestral SoundsMiroslav Phiharmonik.. Despite that I had a few install issuesWhen I got it up and running and went threw the sound banks I could hear the potential. But you always have to remember that you get what you pay for. It’s a $200 software don’t expect East West or Vienna.. It has its good points.. The Wood Winds are spot on. The Solo Strings are impressive. Some of the Horns have great quality… Percussion instruments are very clean.Though the full ensembles are kind of like a good synth string patch ( Like a Roland Fantom 8 or something like that) you may not like that.. Over all it’s a nice package of instruments.. I have to say I wasn’t sure about Miroslav at first, I had a glitch on the install but IK Multimedia responded pretty quickly and got me up and running. If your looking for a quick fix for some decent orchestral sounds at a good price it’s a good buy.
