People compare this to the MXR carbon copy, but EHX's Memory Toy is actually the comparable product to that. With two waveforms, three different speeds for the waveforms, plus a depth knob to control... read more [+] the intensity of the waveforms, the Memory Boy does something completely different than the Memory Toy and the Carbon Copy, in addition to created the dark warm analog repeats that everyone loves. I'm sure the Analog Memory Man has more options and is probably even more amazing (I haven't listened to it), but that is over twice as expensive as this!August 5, 2011 Music Background: Professional Classical/Jazz/Folk Musician You get ALOT for the price here. I have a little looper on my amp, and I have been layering sounds from this with my acoustic guitar plugged in. This has great dark sounding repeats and the modulations are awesome. Sine wave mods are more "useable" than square wave, but if you're after far out/trippy sounds, square wave mode is where it's at.... read more [+] January 21, 2010 Music Background: Weekend Warrior The ability to switch between chorus and vibrato mods is good as I find they each have there place in different songs. The depth knob for the mods gets full on pretty quick (around 8-9 o'clock is a nice area to my ears) but it is far better than a knob that leaves you wishing for more. Blend knob ranges form 100% dry to 100% wet which leaves you with plenty of options. Overall, It's a great old school sounding delay that sounds great out of the box and takes no time to set up a cool sound. You can go for a subtle delay or get into warped spacey sounds with this thing and the price is unbeatable. Price + Functions = Win Just buy one. close [-]
