Peter Roosfrom Oakland, CA October 17, 2012Music Background: Composer and Sound Designer Good deal on industry standard editing softwareAvid Media Composer has been the industry leading standard in video editing software (and hardware) for well over a decade. It is a little clunky in some ways, but if you want to learn editing and learn the tools that professionals use, this is a good tool (in addition or perhaps alternative to Final Cut Pro). At $2,000 it is a bit pricey, but the educational version which retails for $300 which is pretty much a no brainer. It also runs both on mac and PC which makes it attractive no matter on what platform you edit.
