December 2, 2010 Music Background: Pro Musician/Producer It is Worth It
by RonJ from Hampton VA
This is really a great piece and it worked flawlessly out of the box! (literally plug and play). I'm using a macbook pro and I am running Pro Tools LE 7.4.2 pre-release. I have my ilok and my external... read more [+] drive plugged in and I am running fine. All of my plugins are here and I am getting all 48 tracks thanks to the Music Production Toolkit option. RMX, Transfuser, Ivory, and all my other virtual stuff run just like it does using the 002 and 003 units. But now I can work on tracks anywhere with little excess baggage (my only extra now is my hard drive). It is a little heavy for the USB port so I do recommend using the USB extension cable, but the sound is good and I am really enjoying it. I was a little hesitant about paying $249 for something that doesn't even record, but now that I have it I am very satisfied that I chose to get this piece of gear. Even using my Ipod earphones my stuff sounds good (and I monitor using Apogee converters with NS10 monitors). I think you will like this piece by Digidesign. close [-]
