no active circuitry for tone shaping. This gives this eq the ability to subtly sweeten or shade the audio. Even when using extreme settings the sound still remains subtle.Despite this the results are allways more satisfying than the original sound.
This eq's boost,cut and bypass switches on each of the
bands are invaluable allowing the user to get the desired sound fast.
The Manley Massive Passive exhibits a strong vintage character with a smooth and musical sound.This eq works extremely well on sounds that are awquard or difficult to equalize such as vocals.
The Manley Massive Passive has great clarity and depth in the mid range.
The high end works well but if pushed too far the sound can become crunchy.unusually using the shelf mode on the high frequencies appears to give more air than using a bell.
