Customer Reviewsfrom Georgia, USA February 20, 2012 Music Background: Producer, Writer, Musician Finally, a Proper 421 ClipTHE solution to an age old problem. How many broken or failed 421 clips have we seen over the years? Buy a new one, it will eventually break again. Not this one! The load forces are properly distributed, plus the anti vibration shock mount is a welcome extra. Well worth the investment.from January 5, 2008 Here Is how to fix the slip problem with this shockmountHi I just wanted to say that there is a way to fix the slip problem with this shockmount. take your shockmount and flip to the part were the two prongs are. take some pliers and pinch the very tips. dont pinch to much just a little at a time then check to see if the shockmount clip has stoped sliping out when you pull and wiggle at the same time. do this until results are met.{it worked for me}from Nashville, TN September 3, 2006 Music Background: Recording/Mix Engineer Doesn't stop the slip problemIf you need a shockmount for you 421, get this. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Do not buy this if you think it will fix the "clip-on" problem with the mic. Everyone knows that 421's are notorious for falling off the clip (poor design), this won't fix it.Works great as a shockmount though. from Seattle, Wa April 2, 2012 Music Background: Musician, recording engineer, live sound Sennheiser MD 421 ShockmountMIc falls off if you move just right. Really limits positioning of the mic, esspecially around drum kits.

from Recording Studio Owner - Texas May 1, 2004 421 Shock MountA great accessory for a great mic. The design is very simple and integrates well with the look of the mic. Should the rubber rings break, You can easily replace them with O-rings from a hardware store. Although handling noise isn't usually a problem with this mic, I wouldn't get a 421 without this iso-mount. |
