The Waves Mercury Collection is the most comprehensive set of audio processing tools, now including Waves Diamond, Platinum , Restoration, and Transform bundles for a total of 91 processors with over 200 component plug-ins, forming your studio's processing core. V-Series Analog Console EQ/Comp The new V-Series plug-ins model classic British analog audio components in painstaking detail, making time-honored analog sounds available for the latest high-resolution digital environments. The V-Series consists of three elements, the V-COMP Compressor/Limiter, the V-EQ4 4-Band Equalizer and the V-EQ3 3-Band EQ. Each plug-in has been developed by careful analysis and measurement of rare original analog components. The original modules, which date from the early 1970s, possess qualities and subtleties that have never been more accurately modeled. Extensive measurement and listening tests confirm that the new V-Series plug-ins successfully emulate the originals in every detail. The V-COMP is a classic British-design feedback-based stereo compressor/limiter design with de-esser. The compressor features fixed ratio settings of 1.5:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 and 6:1 with a fixed attack time and adjustable recovery time, with automatic make-up gain. The limiter also has adjustable recovery time including an "auto" setting and variable threshold. The equalizers feature a silky-smooth and crystal-clear HF sound even at high levels of boost, and fat, well-rounded low end, while the mids can be used to add presence and fine-tune without introducing harshness. The V-EQ4 emulates a classic 4-band console equalizer with HF bell/shelving switch and multiple HF center frequencies. Two midrange controls are included, both with high/low Q switching. LF includes bell/shelving switching, as well as multi-frequency highpass and lowpass filters. The V-EQ3 models two highly regarded 3-band console EQ modules with continuously variable boost and cut at three bands, particularly suited for vocal, midrange and bass frequency control. In addition, there is also a High Pass Filter. Diamond, Platinum, Restoration, and Transform Bundles The Mercury Collection introduces the new Waves V-Series emulation of vintage EQ and comp/limiter technology. It also introduces MaxxVolume, a stunning all-in-one dynamics processor. Mercury includes the entire Diamond bundle; the acclaimed L-Series Ultramaximizers and Multimaximizers; and GTR Guitar Tool Rack and custom hardware, the ultimate in guitar sound technology developed in conjunction with Paul Reed Smith Guitars. Mercury also features the complete 360° Surround Tools collection of 5.1 surround processors; Waves Tune pitch correction and transformation plug-in and the DeBreath automatic breath eliminator; IR1 and IR360 parametric convolution-based reverberation systems; and Z-Noise, for advanced dynamic noise reduction. And that's not all: Mercury also includes the complete Renaissance series of world-class signal processors as well as Q-Clone for hardware equalizer modeling. There's the X-Series of archive restoration tools including X-Click, X-Crackle, X-Hum and X-Noise; the Transform Series and an extraordinary number of additional sound processors including MaxxBass MondoMod, MetaFlanger, S1 Stereo Imager, TrueVerb and much, much more.
