Central Control for Your System
Command all control room monitoring functions right from your mix position, with the MSC1 Monitor System Controller. In a convenient desk-top form-factor, the MSC1 provides essential "monitor strip" features found in large mixing consoles. Since the acoustics of your room can play a big part in what you hear, the MSC1 includes JBL's highly acclaimed RMC Room Mode Correction Technology. The end-result is a calibrated reference environment in which your speakers work in harmony with your room to take the guesswork out of mixing. With RMC you can tune your monitor system for greater clarity at the mix position. With the MSC1, you're clearly in control.

JBL RMC Technology
In the quest to deliver better mixes in any room, JBL developed RMC technology for their acclaimed LSR Series studio monitors. But they didn't stop there. They designed the MSC1 with next generation RMC to work with any studio monitor system in any room. No matter what speaker system you own, you can have a truly calibrated environment fine-tuned to give you your best mixes. The MSC1 includes JBL's acclaimed RMC Room Mode Correction technology that measures your room and tackles low frequency problems caused by room modes and boundary conditions. The MSC1 comes with everything needed to calibrate your system including a Calibration Mic, MSC1 Control Center Software, and accessory cables. Calibration is simply carried out using the supplied microphone, MSC1 Control Center Software and your computer. Before measuring your room, Control Center meticulously measures the signal path of your audio system to set the stage for an accurate speaker calibration. Control Center Software guides you through every step. Once your system has been measured, re-calibration of your speakers is fast and easy and can be done at any time. After RMC calibration, the MSC1 works as a stand-alone controller and connection to a computer is not required.

Control 3 Stereo Inputs
As the "hub" of your system, the MSC1 controls the monitoring of three stereo input sources such as a computer workstation, mixing console, electronic musical instrument, CD or personal MP3 player. The MSC1's primary speaker "A" outputs include a level control, monitor EQ and RMC Room Mode Correction to tune the monitors to the room. Selecting the "B" outputs assigns the volume control and input routing to a second set of speakers. Subwoofer controls let you add a sub to the "A" speaker system, with a dedicated level control, and a choice of bass management crossover settings. The MSC1 headphone output and independent level control let you send a headphone feed to a performer or monitor using headphones in the control room.
