Minimum-diffraction molded baffle Mackie's baffle is molded to minimize diffraction, so that sound waves are dispersed evenly and smoothly. What you can expect is a clear image of your mix, and a wide sweet spot - giving you great sound whether you're on axis or off. Special amplifier design The amplifier design on the MR5s and the MR8s is matched to the monitor design, featuring Mackie's A/B architecture. Instead of coloring the sound, Mackie designed the amplifier to be neutral, delivering an ultra-flat frequency response.
