All-In-One Instrument The MPC2000XL-MCD is the next evolutionary step in the Akai MPC Series, which offers drum programming and powerful sampling facilities in one convenient, portable desktop unit. The latest generation of MPC adds features like a Next Sequence key, 4 bank keys to effectively provide 64 pads, track mute key, hinged LCD, multi-program playback, device naming, MIDI soft thru, multitrack recording, time stretch, resampling, and simultaneous playback of a second sequence, plus folder file management.
As a Sequencer: The MPC2000XL gives you 64 tracks and supports both linear and pattern-style (looped) recording. There's a whopping 300,000 note sequence capacity and a Step Edit mode for quick and easy recording, viewing or editing of any event in a sequence. The MPC2000XL-MCD allows you to to alter an individual note's attack, decay, filtering and tuning all from the step edit screen. Another unique MPC2000XL-MCD feature is a slider that allows you to adjust all those paramters. another feature of the slider is the ability to increase decay length allowing you to drop in a half and/or fully open hi-hat into the mix. The MPC2000XL-MCD will also automatically adjust hi-hat tracks to sound more realistic by eliminating nots that wouldn't normally be played by a drummer during a live performance.
As a Sampling Drum Machine: The MPC2000XL-MCD is peerless, capable of producing nearly any rhythmic texture you can imagine: MPC2000XL-MCD features 16 velocity sensitive pads with aftertouch,16-bit stereo sampling with 32-voice polyphony. Each voice features dynamic resonant filters, new time stretch capabilities, graphic cut-and-paste sample editing and resampling capabilities. On stage or in the studio, the stunning sonic quality and selection of powerful features of the MPC2000XL-MCD make this a creative tool to be reckoned with!
