Expressive Digital Piano with Advanced Practice Features It was the introduction of the spinet-style cabinet that brought the piano into homes everywhere; however, the sound of a grand piano was something that remained the province of the concert hall (unless you owned a mansion). Thanks to the Roland MP-70, you can have the best of both worlds. The new Roland MP-70, houses one of the best sounding sampled grand pianos we've ever heard (plus electric piano, strings, acoustic bass and more) in an attractive satin-tone, black spinet-style cabinet along with a 88-key graded hammer-action keyboard for true piano feel. It features a new Twin Piano mode that divides the keyboard into two zones, each with the same pitch ranges, making it ideal for teacher-student lessons or duets. There's also a built-in 2-track recorder, metronome, 66 preset songs, effects, and a song-backup feature. Natural Grand Piano Feel The MP-70 incorporates Roland's acclaimed Compact Progressive Hammer-Action keyboard for the natural touch and playing performance of an acoustic grand piano. The keyboard uses real hammers rather than springs, providing a heavier touch in the lower octaves that gets increasingly lighter in the upper range, and you can also customize the touch to your liking with 4 levels of touch sensitivity. Its pedals provide realistic response, allowing even the most subtle performance nuances to be expressed. Advanced Practice Features The MP-70's new Twin Piano mode allows the keyboard to be split into two zones, with notes of the same register in each zone - an indispensable feature for student-teacher lessons.
