Customer Reviewsfrom Lake Forest, IL February 22, 2012 Music Background: Far from pro, but also far from bad. A piano player's keyboardI've tried many weighted action electronic keyboards, and never found one that I even came close to the action, feel and sound of this Kawai MP10. I took a chance by ordering online - as I couldn't find one locally to try out, but Danielle assured me if I wasn't delighted with the piano, I could return it. Needless to say, that won't be necessary. I love this keyboard. The action is superb, the imitation ivory finish on the keys is outstanding, and the acoustic piano sounds are simply gorgeous. Plugged into a pair of Mackie studio monitors and a Yamaha subwoofer, this feels and sounds so real, it's hard to believe I'm not playing my baby grand. There are some bells and whistles, that make this more fun to play than an acoustic instrument. I just returned a Korg Kronos that had mechanical noise issues on the weighted action, and am I glad I replaced it with this. If you're a sound technician, or into whiz bang electronic wizadry, look at something else, but if you want a keyboard that gives you a truely amazing acoustic piano experience (at a very affordable price compared to the competition (Yamaha CP5, Roland V-Piano as examples), this is one well worth a look. from Gadsden, Alabama September 29, 2011 Music Background: Hobbist (Keyboard/Bass) Praise and Worship Kawai MP10 Great Addition to the Prasie and Worship TeamThe MP10 has impressed everyone who has heard it in our congregation. We are a small church and most of our members are senior citizens with an appreciation for the old standard-upright type piano sound. This instrument has added so much strength and clarity to the music portion of our service that all our members, even the no so musically inclined, have voiced their approval. Easy to to get around on! ("Great job Kawai") and the touch is probably as close to a real acoustic-type feel as you are going to get. Piano sounds are fantastic and the string section provides a great warmth to piano solos. The ability to record in mp3 is great and right onto a flash drive. And lastly, I will just mention that the quarter in. inputs that allow play-through and allow recording right onto the flash drive is pretty impressive for the cost of this instrument. You can record, layer sounds and play back a crystal clear backing loop to solo along with. Great stuff! If you are looking for simplicity, great sound and an easy learning curve . . . look no further. The MP10 is your keyboard. JRfrom Crystal Lake, IL January 27, 2011 Music Background: Weekend warrior MagnificentI own or have owned MANY stage pianos and this one by far my favorite. The action is incredibly realistic, the piano sounds are the best I've heard in a digital piano and come close to Synthology's Ivory. The EP sounds are as good as my Korg SV-1. It is a heavy keyboard - although it is the same weight as my former Yamaha CP300 which I managed to lug around to gigs. This one will serve me for many Years. I think I'm done buying pianos for a while (sorry Chad).from Texarkana, AR December 25, 2010 Music Background: Hobbyist / song writer One happy piano player....I have always been an acoustic piano player, and was just not happy with keyboards.... I am happy with my new mp10. The feel when you are playing it is closer to an acoustic piano than any that I have played before. It's the best of both worlds. Love the sounds and effects... I'm a happy girl! |
