Awesome Effects Machine

I use two of these units. One for the reverbs and the other for the delays, chorus, flanger ect. I have had no issues with either unit and have had them for years. I have them connected to my main mixing board for the synthesizers that I use. Great units for the synths that I own with no effects built into them.
I like the easy reading display window and how easy it is to set-up the parameters for each effect. I also like the fact that I can have stereo sounding effects with this unit, as in Ping Pong delay, ect.

Great Live Sound Effects

I ordered this on a bit of a leap of faith knowing that I would have a chance to compare it to a Lexicon MX400. At first right out of the box I liked the reverb quality on the Lexicon better, but after playing with them and a little tweaking the sound of the M-One XL was miles ahead of the MX400. Not only did the M-One XL sound great it's interface is extremely intuitive and allows for some great modifications and user customization. I couldn't be happier with this unit. Awesome Interface, Awesome Sound, Awesome Build Quality. Nothing not to like.

I love this box

I use one of these at church every week. Love it. It's funny how the things that matter when you are shopping for an effects unit aren't the things that matter once you own it.

When I was shopping, I wanted something that sounded great, had lots of effects presets, and wasn't too expensive. This seemed to fit the bill.

Now that I own it, what matters to me is that it has ONE preset that I love (I'm sure the rest are good too, but I stick with one for 90% of what I use it for), that it has a big display that's easy to read in a dark booth, and that the tap tempo button is easy to get to.

Hmmm....

I owned an M-One XL for a couple of years. For live sound, it's decent enough...but for some reason we were never satisfied with the results. I don't think the algorithms are really that great. I have heard the very high end TC Electronic pieces and they are very strong, but this piece just doesn't have the magic in my opinion. I actually prefer the built in reverb on my Allen & Heath mixwiz to this. For recording, I wouldn't even waste your time trying to use this piece. The reverbs in my UAD-1 are way beyond the M-One, and considering you can get a UAD-1 for $400 and build your plug in library later, I would reccommend going that route. For live use, you might get by using this...but I would strongly reccommend that you explore other options.
