Traveler Guitar Escape MK-II (Steel Lefty) Reviews

Customer Reviewsfrom Houston TX June 12, 2011 Music Background: Guitarist & Recording Hobbyist Excellent Travel Guitar for Lefties!!FINALLY! An excellent travel guitar for left-handed players! After searching for and evaluating travel guitars for over 20 years, I've found my go-to travel acoustic. I still own the electric steinberger which I use for trips and the occassional jam invite - but this Escape MK-II provides th best travel acoustic ever. It has good sustain and sound travel due to the tuner holes in the body. The earphone sound of the hybrid pickup is just fine for quiet hotel practicing or composing with my Laptop Sonar X1 studio. Hint: bring an HDMI cable to hook the laptop to the hotel room HDTV and you are in travel composing heaven ;-). A slide switch allows me to switch to "Amp" mode and plug this into my Fender Princeton Chorus amplifier. Switch on a light chorus on the amp and EQ the MK-II onboard for a nice tone. This isn't a Martin or a Taylor - but I can't fit either of those into an overhead bin on an airplane. The MK-II plays well (since it's full neck scale) and sounds just fine. I'll bring it on most flights I take for the next several years!
