I recently was diagnosing a hum and hiss problem that existed from my effects pedals to my Fender Blues Deluxe amps. I had been employing George L's cables for the connection, but a Sweetwater repres... read more [+]entative suggested that the hum was caused by improperly shielded cables.

The Sweetwater rep asked if I had any other cables at home with which to test the connection. I had two, one Monster Rock instrument cable, and one Monster Jazz instrument cable.

The conclusion was that the Monster Jazz instrument cable reduced the hum and hiss the most significantly. It was at that point that I purchased two Monster M Jazz-6' audio cables for connecting my effects board and Fender amps in stereo.
