My M-Audio MIDISPORT 4x4 has lasted ten years so far. Any questions?
Customer Reviewsfrom Pensacola, Fl January 26, 2011 Music Background: Recording engineer, musician... Great little unitI originally bought this to use with a laptop purchased in 2002 (I think it was 2002). It have installed it on and used it with 3 different windows computers and now a macbook pro. I have never had a minute of trouble installing it or using it. I owned one of the original midiman midi interface cards back in the early 90s. They made great equipment even back then. This one piece of gear that has become invaluable as I normally use multiple keyboards and modules sync'd to (in the past Cakewalk/sonar products) and now Logic. I highly recommend it if you are using big keyboard rig and want/need several channels of midi at the same time.from May 5, 2011 Music Background: Live/Recording Engineer, Producer Doesn't Work with Windows 7 64 bitIt worked for a bit, then started acting finicky. I downloaded the latest driver installer package, uninstalled, reinstalled. Now it doesn't work at all. I'm not the only one with the problem - I've checked M-Audio User Forum. I'm going to sell it for what I can get and probably buy a MOTU. By the way, this sort of BS is standard practice for all of Avid's subsidiaries - this opinion has been hard-earned by trying to run Pro Tools on Windows for the last 7 years. |
