Customer Reviewsfrom South Dakota February 29, 2012 Music Background: Hobbyist Yamaha MG166CX-USB I LIKE THE EFFECTS AND LOOKSIts nice for effects and recording.from South Burlington, Vt January 6, 2009 Music Background: Recording Engineer, Live Sound Engineer Amazingly quite with a lot of nice features.Over-all this is a great mixer for the price. It's amazingly quite with a lot of nice features like lighted channel on switches, six channel compression, and parametric mid-range eq, but it is not built as rugged as a Mackie. I purchased the unit to use on video shoots and band gigs. I was thinking that this would serve as a nice audio interface but USB is only two channel out, post mix. Product write up does not do a great job of describing how USB interface works.I would recommend a hard shell travel case for this unit. from Lowell, MA November 8, 2010 Music Background: Live Sound Engineer, Student Good Product, but not all it seemsA solid mixer with an incredible number of features and channels for the price but not all the features are fully fledged enough to be useful. The effects are alright, the compressors are sort of useful but obviously can't be manipulated much since they're only a single knob and finally the USB is misleading. It only sends the left and right main outs to your computer but I probably shouldn't have expected more on such an inexpensive mixer. Not terribly useful for creating a well mixed live recording.
