ReviewsQuality and Clarity
by Peter Herbert from uk, Lancashire
Great performer i've owned mine 18 months now, it replaced my tired Peavey XR684 which was a great work horse with quality FX so the Yamaha had a challenge on its hands to replace it, and i gotta say ... read more [+]it succeeded. The pre amps are indeed clean and clear the only thing i could fault the Yamaha MG16/4 on if i really had to was the FX lack a little warmth, but paired up with my JBL EON G2's music reproduction is bang on. close [-]
February 28, 2007 Music Background: Dj and karaoke compare Great board for studio
by Patrick Kondratko from Northern Michigan, USA
I've had a MG16/4 lost to a fire, and now purchased a second one to replace it. It's that good.September 26, 2006 Music Background: Hobbyist musician / engineer The preamps are very clean and clear, I get more noise out of my speakers than my board.... read more [+] I route all my studio equipment through the MG16/4, and it works very well, keeping everything coherent, and usable. A minor flaw, is that when pushing the board, it starts to clip (audibly) before the meters are getting maxxed out. It's not a serious detraction, and easily learned, but it's a slight issue you'll have to keep in mind. Very worthwhile board for the $$$. close [-]
