This Amp is amazing! I got it just for my own personal use, but now my friends wanna use it when their recording. I did some sound tests to see if was really as good as i thought. So i listened to my friends tube amp, but this one sounded just the same, if not even better. And for the amount of money i spent on this amp, its a great deal.The distortion is better than my pedals are, adn everything just works.

Its a great amp for recording,home-use, and playing live with a garage band. The sound is loud enough to get over my drummers noise, if you punch in the (FDD) button.

Alla in all this is the best amp to get for just about anything!!!

key phrase: PRACTICE AMP. This is NOT a "stack-in-a-box", so please be realistic. What it IS, is one of the best home/bedroom jamming combos I've heard. You will NOT be able to keep up with drums with this amp, so don't even try - it's for home use, bedroom practicing, etc. and for that it is a wonderful amp. My model comes with reverb as well. What I have noticed is that past 12 o'clock the distortion doesn't really get any more raunchy, just noisier, so I leave it at 12 o'clock. Bass at 3 o'clock, contour at 11-1 o'clock, depending on taste, treble at 1-2 o'clock, again, depending on taste... volume wherever you want it. The FDD button makes a HUGE difference in the tone - leave it pushed in! The line out & headphones run really quiet, which is good for your hearing, but I don't care for it much - you don't get the speaker sound, which is NOT the same, trust me! I live in a second-floor apartment, so it suits my situation fine. I'm very happy with my little Marshall!
