From Our Research Team:Moog Takes Analog Delay Up a Notch! The first Moogerfooger MF-104 Analog Delay had a whopping 800 millisecond delay time. Unfortunately, Moog Music only produced 1000 units, leaving countless musicians longing for one of their own. Now Moog has announced the new MF-104Z Analog Delay, and the news is even better! The MF-104Z offers 1000 milliseconds - one full second - of analog delay. It's the longest standalone analog delay module on the market. Of course, the MF-104Z also sounds fantastic and, like all moogerfoogers, has controls allow you to vary the sound in a variety of ways that you can only do with the moogerfooger family of effects.Moog moogerfooger MF-104Z Analog Delay at a Glance:
One full second of delay plus drive and output controls The MF-104Z offers from <40 milliseconds to 1000 milliseconds - one full second - of analog delay. It's the longest standalone analog delay module on the market. It also offers front-panel Drive and Output Level controls that allow you to set up the effect to match your instrument and your amp. Or if you are so inclined, use the MF-104Z to overdrive your amp. Generate a single echo to chaos with Feedback control The MF-104Z's Feedback control mixes a portion of the delayed signal with the signal from your instrument. Feedback control can generate a single echo, sustaining echoes, or echoes that build up in chaotic ways. In addition, the MF-104Z has a Mix pot so you can employ from completely dry to completely wet amounts and everything in between. Internal Loop/External Loop switch selects the feedback path In the MF-104Z's Internal Loop position the feedback path goes directly from the output of the delay back to the input. In the External Loop position the feedback path is available to the musician and goes through the Loop Out Jack and the Loop In Jack. This provides you with an opportunity to insert signal processing in the feedback path, thereby enabling processing of the echoes as they are generated. It's very cool with another Moogerfooger - the MF-104Z is unbelievable with the MuRF! Moog moogerfooger MF-104Z Analog Delay Features:

The best box ever! No matter what it contains or does.July 1, 2009 Music Background: Hobbyist, Artist. So I got 2. Amazing Delay Pedal

The price tag is large, but the parts inside more than compensate for the cost. There are more BBD chips (which can cost up to $30 each) inside than a bag of doritos, and the design and features are ... read more [+]miles above any other pedal (boutique or otherwise) on the market today, as with all Moog pedals. The feature list is impressive, I won't reiterate it, but aside from the ultimate flexibility of this pedal, the two greatest features are the sound and the effects loop.March 8, 2009 Music Background: Student, Musician, Recording Engineer The sound is exactly how you would want an analog delay pedal to sound. The repeats are insanely clear and articulate in the short/bright mode. There's no distortion in the wet signal as with many other delay pedals. I'd hate to try to use a bunch of meaningless adjectives, so just go and try it yourself! The long/dark mode is indeed very long, and will sit perfectly in a mix that you just want to fatten up. The effects loop is a great and unique feature. The wet signal will get passed through whatever you have in the loop, and, via control voltage, will also control the amount of feedback. I use a flanger in the loop, and it sounds amazing--like fireworks! Very cool sounds to be had with this feature. Test it out with whatever you can. Just like I've come to expect from Moog, everything about this is top notch. The sound is ridiculously hi-fi (more so than any other true analog delay I've ever heard, which is near all of them), the build construction is indestructable, and the features will complement any stage set up, studio, or basement jam. Now, it's true that at this price, you're approaching tape echo unit prices, but personally, the drawbacks of a tape delay unit are not worth the price (too fragile, scared to take it out of the studio, problems with the tape, what have you), so I opted for the moog. It's been with me for a year now, and I can't sing its praises loud enough. close [-] Sweetwater Advice
Carson McClainThis box is for the serious analog nut. The design of this pedal is top notch, the sound and tweakability are just better than any other analog delay I have used. If you own an analog synth or are serious about your guitar rig, then this is the pedal you need.
