From Our Research Team:Clean to Crunch to Lead Tones, This Pedal Does It All!All you need is a guitar and the ME-25 and you're ready to sound like a pro. This compact multi-effect boards is flat-out packed with the effects you'll want and need to write, cover, and jam on just about any song idea or style possible. The ME-25 is made by the stompbox gurus over at BOSS, and those guys definitely know tone. It's like they wanted to put everything they've ever made into one, easy-to-use, super-portable, gig-friendly box... and the ME-25 is pretty much all of those things. In fact, on top of the included effects that cover the gamut from sick distortions to fat wahs, there's even a built-in looper so you can stack sounds or build up massive one-man-band anthems with the BOSS ME-25.If you've been playing electric guitar for a while and you're wanting to add stompbox-style effects to your rig, the ME-25 is a no-brainer. For the price of just a couple of stompboxes you get a practical tone machine, filled with BOSS's best effect tones and even amp models. Long story short, you can launch your sound into whatever direction you imagine — like having a packed pedalboard and multiple amps behind you, very cool. Plus, you can customize the way you sound just by twisting the Drive, Tone, and Volume knobs on the ME-25. There's more, though. Once you've found a sound or riff you love, the ME-25 is ready to record it. You have two options for that. First, you can use the built-in 38-second looper. You'll love having the ability to record your idea, then work on a second guitar part, lead, or solo over the top of it. If you've come up with a longer track that you want to capture, the ME-25 is also good to go. It features a USB connection and works as an audio recording interface. Just use the included Cakewalk SONAR 8.5 LE software or your current favorite program. That's definite value, considering the ME-25 is also a computer-free fiend for your stage shows and jams. In fact, the ME-25 is more than just portable and computer free — you can power it one six AA batteries (or an AC adapter), so you don't have to be tethered to the wall when you don't want to be. There are a few more features you'll want to know about. First, there's free downloadable Librarian software. That means you can save your favorite presets to your computer, rather than only to the device, so if you come up with tons of them you can easily swap them out when you want, rather than have to delete them. Finally, the ME-25 features a built-in aux input so you're free to jam along with your music devices, say an iPod, a CD player... name it. Many guitarists love plugging the headphone jack of their laptop right into the ME-25 and taking a cruise through their iTunes library. It's easy, it's fun, and it's a really great way to get better. Absolutely better than any of the GT units. If you don't need/want all the extra stuff built into those tanks then this is the one for you. No nonsense, straight-ahead easy programming. I set up a single channel for clean, next one clean/chorus-delay, next one crunch and the next one lead. Then going backwards from the clean I set them up the same except I went from clean to crunch to lead for a variety. Get exactly the same result as if I had seven different pedals in a row but not its one push instead of two or three to get my effects where I want them. Good tone, good sounds. Thank you Alan Carter for the sweet deal. You are an asset to your company and your efforts at customer service are top-notch! Thank you. close [-]

This unit sounds incredible on almost all of the 60 presets. Sound stack and 'Solo' features work great. I actually can't believe how good this things sounds. I have a Fulltone OCD pedal, Boss BD-2, Boss MT-2, TC Electronic Nova System, Zoom G2, Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9DX. This thing is equally as good. I'm not kidding. I am very very picky with tone and have a very good ear. Don't even think about playing this through headphones or a solid state amp. You gotta have pro level: pickups, cables, and amp, then you're ready to hear the true tone of this unit. IT FRICKEN' ROCKS!! The MetalHarmony preset is SO fun to play. The wah is obviously not as good as a Vox wah or Crybaby, but is pretty good. close [-] Boss finally gets it right!!!

I did not buy this unit at Sweetwater, but I do own it, and it is an excellent piece of hardware. It functions as advertises as a mid-range effects processor, amp modeler, looper and audio interface. ... read more [+]The effects are all customizable. For the price, I'd say its a good value.January 9, 2012 Music Background: Music. I needed to loop effected guitar phrases in short patterns, and short of buying an RC-30 and 3 other stomp boxes for effects, this is an all inclusive. The trade off, of course, is the 38 second limit on one loop channel. I would have liked to have seen some better filters on it, as the expression pedal is quite limited to the 4 listed functions... But its a 200 dollar pedal. I have to do some testing to see if the Audio Interface can capture a Stereo Signal, as the input appears to only support mono, however it has L/R stereo out. I dont know if its true stereo or if its just splitting the mono signal. There are no effects like ping-pong or panning that would suggest that it is full stereo. It linked right up to my DAW (Sony ACID) without issue after drivers were loaded. Sound is clean when recording and playing back. close [-] Also popular
