A Great Pair

While I'll agree with most of what the other reviewers have said, I have to say that the 7505 is more true than the 7506.While the 7506 has a hyped bass and treble, the 7505 is much flatter and accurate which is quite critical for on-location engineering.The 7506, however, wins hands down in the comfort category. The circumaural 7506 is much more comfortable in the long term compared to the supraural 7505.

I've owned and used a variety of good headphones over a few years for studio recording...
Sony MDR 7506, 7502, V6,
various AKG and AudioTechnica,
Koss Pro4AA and AAA,
and last but certainly not least an old pair of Sennheiser HD-414.

This time, I bought my 7505 not for accuracv (the 06 is truer to mix with), but for long-term comfort (8-10 hours slavin' over a hot Yamaha C-7 grand) and for more punch in the lo-mid bass (the better to hear my bass pickin' and drum thumpin' co-conspiritors with).
It has made my left hand (and them, as well as clients) a lot happier.

I have bass player and drummer friends that borrow mine when I'm not around...

Sony 7505 headphones

I've had my pair for 31/2 years and found them to be the best I've heard so far for checking aux monitor mixes and balancing/ eq'ing vocals. They are also more efficient than most.
The only draw back has been hitting myself in the face trying to put them on.
