ReviewsA Great Pair
by JP Leong from USA
While I'll agree with most of what the other reviewers have said, I have to say that the 7505 is more true than the 7506.While the 7506 has a hyped bass and treble, the 7505 is much flatter and accura... read more [+]te which is quite critical for on-location engineering. The 7506, however, wins hands down in the comfort category. The circumaural 7506 is much more comfortable in the long term compared to the supraural 7505. close [-]

This time, I bought my 7505 not for accuracv (the 06 is truer to mix with), but for long-term comfort (8-10 hours slavin' over a hot Yamaha C-7 grand) and for more punch in the lo-mid bass (the better to hear my bass pickin' and drum thumpin' co-conspiritors with). It has made my left hand (and them, as well as clients) a lot happier. I have bass player and drummer friends that borrow mine when I'm not around... close [-] Not so comfortable for me

Yes the sound is very nice. However I don't really need it super accurate as I am just a video editor, All I have to do is adjust audio levels in between clips for consistency. So to be honest, I don'... read more [+]t need professional audio equipment such as these bad boys. November 17, 2010 Music Background: Video Editor Here's my problem with them-they are incredibly uncomfortable for me-and all the other editors. I hate wearing them all day, they give me a head ache, I've moved over to a cheapy Phillips version of headphones because they feel like pillows hugging my head. In addition to this, I'm a little woman, and these headphones are too big for my head. Also 2 out of the 5 pairs we have had are broken (somewhere on the plastic part) and because they are so expensive my bosses refuse to replace them, so now we have ghetto taped up sad pairs of these headphones. These headphones are unfortunately the bane of my existence. One last thing that drives me nuts about these headphones-the chord is heavy and coiled. However its only half coiled- half straight, so if someone calls me and I turn my head, or if I want to readjust my posture the headphones don't follow and I end up tethered to something on my desk that the headphones chord is hooked on. The headphone chord over the course of a workday literally weighs my head down. Sorry about my cosmetic complaint, but I'm pretty frustrated with this product, other than that, the important part of them-the quality of the sound I have no complaints about, I'm just never comfortable enough when wearing them to say color me impressed. close [-] Sony 7505 headphones
