The Beyerdynamic MC930 mics are just amazing. I have a nice collection of small diaphragm condensers including Neumann KM184's and vintage AKG 451EB's. I never would have considered buying the MC930 if I hadn't been totally taken by surprise by an acoustic recording that had me stop in my tracks and say "wow, that sounds soooo good, what mics were used?" I was informed the MC930 was used. Since then, I've auditioned a number of recordings from chamber and classical to alternative folk and rock, for which the MC930's were used and they all just sounded sooooo good!!! These things sound great on anything, have nice pad and roll off switches, and have a remarkably hot output. Best of all, they are incredibly affordable for such a high quality German made microphone. Get 'em, you won't be disappointed!!!!! close [-]
