They also have a wheel lock feature so the base of the stand doesn't roll away while you are positioning the mic. One feature that I like a lot is the mini-boom at the end of the boom arm. It can be spun without loosening the boom arm which makes it MUCH easier to thread into mic clips, which means less wear and tear on your fingers and the threads. The handles on the screws are really heavy duty and are big enough so you don't hurt your hands trying to loosen them. I use the stand to hold a pair of Earthworks omnis and a Jecklin Disk way over the top of drums or pianos and the stand feels very solid. close [-]
