Reviewsbased on 6 reviewsOne of the best sounding amps I've played
by Trevor Watson from Provo, Utah
I did tons of research to find the perfect amp that fit my price range and that delivered the amount and quality of sound that I needed. April 7, 2012 Music Background: Freelance bassist, bassist with Army band, recording engineer hobbyist This amp has never ceased to amaze and deliver. I've ... read more [+]played it with pop/rock groups, jazz bands, in the studio rehearsals. Don't be deceived by the small size, this amp has enough volume to handle almost any gig. Even if you're playing in a big venue it's got direct out, so there's no reason that this amp can't be your all-purpose amp. close [-] Best Bass Combo Amp For The $$

By far the most powerful, pure, floor thumping bass combo amp I've ever played through under $1000. At $699 list, still the best bargain out there for live performing output. January 9, 2012 Music Background: Great Balance in a Combo
by Tom from Millfield, OH
I really like this amp. Great balance of price, power, and weight in a combo. The sound is clean and does not require pristine power supply to stay that way. The rig has enough punch to cut through... read more [+] everything else on stage, including heavy-handed drumming. The price is reasonable, and the light weight is easy on the back. I've used it in venues large and small, indoors and out. Works very well with my J-bass, A/E bass, and electric upright. Downsides? The first one out of the box didn't work at all, and I had to get a second. The XLR Out is in a bad location. Sound techs need a flathead screwdriver to extract their cables. close [-]
September 16, 2011 Music Background: Musician Back saving gig workhorse with mojo
by Studiodawg from Cambridge Springs, PA, USA
I picked up the MB212 because I was tired of waiting for RME to release the BabyFace (of which I was already paying on). I've used it primarily with my Upton Bass that has a K&K BassMax pickup; also my PJ Warmoth & Guild acoustic bass. It has a good sound. If you're not used to D-Class amplifiers you might be startled at how high you have to turn things up, but it's clean and has mojo. close [-]
