MA 100

Bought the MA-100 studio pair to record some acoustic guitar tracks - have to say I was blown away. To date I have not been able to get the acoustic sound I was hearing i my head. Been through a few mics sets.

Just getting in to some new tracks with MA100's but so far I am in love with these mics.

The freq response is fantastic, excellent presence in the mix and if you run them through some outboard eq & compression (I use Avalon) - you really do not have to touch the track in the box.

Never had such great acoustic guitar sound until the MA-100's showed up.

Note: Not impressed with the stereo bar that comes with the set - not very adjustable / useable (not sure why Mojave does not provide a better bar - or none at all) - I recommend getting a better stereo bar and a set of the Audio-Technica AT8410a universal shock mounts. The Grace design stereo bar is pricey, but great.

If you are recording acoustic guitar and can not get the sound you want I would highly recommend trying the MA100's.
