Basic and Good

One caveat here......they don't handle globs of bass very well. Woofers produced a rattling-chuffing sound when over driven. So they could use a low frequency shelving filter for addition of a sub. It took me a few months to figure out exactly where the EQ bumps and deficiencies were, but soon after I started mixing and mastering with this setup, I started getting way more work. I trust them down to around 50-60 Hz and then I check lows with my Sennheiser HD650s (which also helped me adjust the graphic EQ).

Also, about a year after the warranty ended, I had a power supply problem with one of them. I had the local shop fix it, and since then, that one takes about 2 minutes to power on. Other than that, no problems. close [-]
