These Speakers are bigger than i thought. The physical quality is amazing. Probably not the best sounding pair BUT a really awesome upgrade for me. They sound great either way. Immediately on firing these up I could tell they were articulate and honest. Playing really good program material produced a WOW reaction. One caveat here......they don't handle globs of bass very well. Woofers produced a rattling-chuffing sound when over driven. So they could use a low frequency shelving filter for addition of a sub. It took me a few months to figure out exactly where the EQ bumps and deficiencies were, but soon after I started mixing and mastering with this setup, I started getting way more work. I trust them down to around 50-60 Hz and then I check lows with my Sennheiser HD650s (which also helped me adjust the graphic EQ).April 5, 2011 Music Background: Recording Engineer, Musician Also, about a year after the warranty ended, I had a power supply problem with one of them.
