I have used Live for the past 4.5 years on the stage and as my primary composing tool in the studio. I even use it for audio editing, though it isn't quite as comforting to use as DSP Quattro for editing.
The simplicity in Live's design, yet the power house of functionality available in Live make this tool unbeatable for my uses.
The ability to compose and perform from the same program is outstanding.
The suite of instruments and fx available out of the box are perfect. One doesn't need more that what Live provides you to make great work.
Online forums @ Ableton provide endless ideas and tricks.
Ableton customer support is also amazing. I was provided with a generous email and discount once when Ableton was too busy to get back to me- they care about their users. The folk at Ableton understand what users want and blow them away with each upgrade of the program.
To be honest, I can't think of anything about this program that is bad. If it fits your needs I highly suggest it.
