Flexible input routing The flexible input options of the Chandler Little Devil 500 Pre will save you time and effort getting everything set up. You can use either XLR or TRS cables for connecting to the pre, and you can select whether the inputs are high or low impedance. The Little Devil Pre offers up to 66dB of gain to really push your signal. Power your favorite condenser mics with the built-in 48V phantom power supply. Powerful tone sculpting tools The Chandler Little Devil 500 Pre is also a powerful tool for sculpting the tones you want for your tracks. The bright switch and low cut filter let you sculpt the highs and lows of your signal, and the phase control, well, flips the phase. You'll love the big and open sound of the Little Devil's Class A design. A Feedback/Bias control gives you the ability to change the the way the amplifier reacts. You can increase the harmonic range and the nature of clipping and distorion by simply rotating a knob. You can dial in soft Class A clipping to gushy tube type clipping. This is useful because not everyone sounds the same and sometimes the vocals need that extra edge... With this pre you are able to shape sound to your liking. Overdriven on synths it sounds massive. Does great for bass and guitars. Also smooth as silk on the high end. Push the gain and lower the output for some drive. Lower the gain and increase output for smooth headroom. Play with the Feedback knob to get more harmonic content. The possibilities really are endless on this one. It is becoming my go-to on electric guitars, has been getting a LOT of action on vocals, and I am sure it will be phenominal on snares to add thickness and warmth along with bite. Even the digital synths and vst plugins sound much better. I ran a digital synth through the LD the 1st time and I was just blown away. Couldn't believe that a digital synth can sound so good. First of all props to chandler limited, I have always had an eye on getting something from chandler and this is my first product from them. I am positive it won't be my last. This pre is awesome sound... read more [+] so smooth, and then when you want it crank the feedback and input gain and it distorts nicely. I have use this just a little bit now but its great on vocals. I even did some ukulele sounded so good. Pre's are all on the persons preference but I don't see how you couldn't be pleased with this. close [-]
