Take Charge of Your Levels with this Stylish Gadget

Place TC Electronic’s Level Pilot X at your fingertips, and you can take absolute control of your stereo volume levels without leaving the sweet spot. And it looks stylish on your desk, thanks to its sleek design. A slip-free rubberized bottom plate keeps the Level Pilot X from sliding around. And it doesn’t require external power. Just connect it via its balanced XLR connectors, and you’ll be ready to make precise, high-resolution volume adjustments. Plus, the Level Pilot X is all analog-controlled after the final D/A conversion, so you get the utmost in sound quality.

Sleek, convenient volume controller

Put your system’s stereo volume control within easy reach, with the TC Electronic Level Pilot X. This high-quality, sleek device is designed to give you full control for any active monitoring setup, all the time. In fact, it works as a standalone analog level control, free of your computer, so you don’t have to wait on the computer being booted, as in many DAW setups.

High resolution for the finest audio quality

At Sweetwater, we want our audio signals to be of the highest quality possible throughout the digital signal chain — and so do you. Yet, when you control the level digitally before the final D/A conversion, you actually reduce the resolution of the conversion. The Level Pilot X allows you to control the volume levels after the D/A conversion, so you get the maximum conversion resolution.

TC Electronic Level Pilot X Volume Controller Features:

  • Desktop speaker volume controller with ergonomic rotary control knob
  • High-resolution computer-independent analog level control
  • Balanced XLR connectors
  • No power supply required
  • Smooth, ergonomic feel
  • Rubberized tight-grip bottom plate
  • Compact design for easy placement

Great for Sub volume control

I was using a Studio Live 32S console and switched back to my Studio 192/Digimax FS8/DP88 setup to make it more songwriter/music creator friendly. On the 32S, I used a sub-mix to control the Sub woofer volume in the studio. The outputs from the other interfaces are all controlled through UC Surface with made it a little cumbersome to change the sub volume on the fly. I connected the TC Electronics Level Pilot between the output on the DigimaxFS8 and the sub and it gives me full control of the sub volume and takes almost no space at all on the desktop. Very high quality.

Works great, feels great, so it is great!

I've read some bad reviews on this piece which claim that the enclosure cracks over time. From my time with this so far I believe you would have heavily abuse this knob to crack the enclosure. Perhaps those other people who had this issue dropped this on a hard wood floor multiple times or something. This a sturdy aluminum enclosure and it would have to take a hard fall to crack. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this knob! Great feel, great balance and most of all great price!

GREAT STEREO BALANCED VOLUME CONTROL

I now have two of this model, one on my bedroom TV sound system and one on my kitchen TV stereo. In each of these systems I use a stereo line-mixer to bring the sources together and then run the mixer into this volume control to adjust the loudness before handing the signal off to the powered speakers.

This model handles balanced-line level audio beautifully. No power supply needed, this device is completely passive.

The base is weighted nicely so it stays put. The cables are long enough for my two applications and can be extended easily with XLR mic cables.

The price is very right. It's easy to use, even my non-tech wife understands it and adjusts it regularly

I also use the lower priced model of this TC Knob volume control. I use those on the output of laptops and desktop computers to give them a physical volume control rather than using on screen controls (which can sometimes be tricky to get at when some piece of content is very LOUD).

Highly recommended. Good music to you!

Does exactly what I need it to do.

Bought the Level Pilot X to replace a bigger item that took up too much residence on my desk and was powered. Very happy that it does what it says it does.

Works great.

If only it was a pedal, how I use the Pilot X, it would be perfect. Still, a little enginuity and voila, it works great. Thanks, Sweetwater, for helping me sovle a problem.
