Quality construction
All Modern Classic guitars are handcrafted by Gibson in Bozeman, MT, from premium tonewoods and components. The CJ-165 EC Maple Modern Classic gives you balanced, bright tone, thanks to its compact body size and premium tonewoods. It's solid Sitka spruce top features specially designed 1930s-style wide-scalloped X-bracing, which gives the CJ-165 EC Maple Modern Classic great clarity and projection for a small-bodied guitar. The maple back and sides also contribute to the full sound, and a sloping single cutaway gives you access to the entire rosewood fingerboard, which tops a maple neck. Classy mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays adorn the neck. Equipped with the revolutionary Fishman Ellipse Aura system, the CJ-165 EC Maple Modern Classic allows acoustic musicians to easily and precisely reproduce the sound of an acoustic guitar as if it miked in a professional studio. The Fishman Ellipse Aura system was programmed to conjure studio sounds with Class A mic pres and a mix of vintage and modern microphones to create Aura Acoustic images that complement the specific tone qualities of the CJ-165 EC Maple Modern Classic.
