Customer Reviewsfrom Tuscaloosa, AL USA April 2, 2013Music Background: I play as a hobby for my personal enjoyment. Been playing about six years. 70's Tribute Gibson Les PaulI love this guitar. I can get sounds out of this guitar that you cannot get from any other guitar. The sustain is incredible. It is everything I had hoped for and more. I wish I had bought one long ago. It's worth every penny.from Madison, VA USA February 24, 2013Music Background: Part time pro - playing over 35 years - lots of gear and guitars...is there ever too much?! Gold top at a great price - can't go wrong!Ok, so I originally ordered the 70s tribute that had the mini humbuckers/maple neck with "baked" maple fret board - thinking it would be cool to have a LP with a bit of a high end quack to it...since I need to cover a lot of different territory playing in two bands, with multiple genres of music. Any way, my Sweetwater rep called and said they were delayed in shipping from Gibson, then a second call a couple weeks later to let me know that Gibson was not going to make another run of that style LP - that was the bad news...but the good news was I was offered this 70s tribute or the 50s tribute - thinking that I like a smaller neck I went with the 70s...I made the right choice and couldn't be happier. I later played a show where the opening band had a guitarist with the 70s tribute I originally wanted...after hearing it...I was really glad I got this one! Kudos to Sweetwater on turning out what could have been sour grapes into a great experience. This axe sings!!!! Buy it and you will see what I mean!!!!!
