Customer Reviewsfrom Overland Park, KS May 14, 2013Music Background: Hobbyist This is the One!To each his own so what works for me not be for you; however, after weeks of online searching and trying out models in the stores this is the model that made the cut. If it helps, I was looking between the new Traditional Pro IIs, a Classic Plus from 2011, and this model. Flame top is beautiful and flawless, and it does vary between each guitar so keep that in mind if ordering unseen (which is not a problem with Sweetwater). My first order with Sweetwater, but I suspect their service is always as I experienced it and I would highly recommend them. The action was great out of the box for my taste, which is low. Nothing but beautiful tones form this thing. Please for your own sake, disregard all the naysayers of the Granadillo fretboard, it feels/looks/sounds fantastic. I guarantee you that if you didn't already know what it was, you would probably think it was rosewood. If you're in the market for a Les, definitely check this one out. from December 31, 2012 An awesome guitar! You get a great bang for your buck with this guitar. I just recently bought it to go with my fulltone ocd and my fender blues jr. When i went to play it, i was absoloutely blown away by the sounds! The mahagony back and the 57 classic pickups do the thing for sure. They sound just like the old ACDC or Van Halen records and are very versetile due to the push/pull pots. You get a whole different arena of sounds due to those knobs. As far as looks go, you can't go wrong. The flame top on mine is absoloutely beautiful and it looks just like a classic Gibson Les Paul. The only thing that almost turned me away was that the fretboard wasn't rosewood. Instead, it was grenadillo (Sweetwater says rosewood but its not). I was a bit concerned but after playing it, there is really no difference and quite possibly is better than rosewood. Overall, a great guitar, but i would suggest playing before buying
