From Our Research Team:Back-to-basics Look and a Great ValueThe Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded features a smooth, unbound body and a traditional carved maple top, whose beautiful faded finish lends the look of a well-worn guitar. A '59 rounded neck profile with a baked maple fingerboard and two screaming Burstbucker Pro pickups give you a world of classic Les Paul playability. The '59 neck profile is a nice compromise between the original chunky neck and the "slim tapered" carve that followed in the '60s.Classy pearloid trapezoid markers give this Les Paul Studio Faded the classic Les Paul feel, and a modified heel shape gives you easy access to the upper frets, letting you really dig into your solos! Thanks to a pair of Burstbucker Pro pickups, the Les Paul Studio Faded also gives you that big, fat, smoky humbucker sound. So if you want traditional Les Paul sound and amazing playability - all at a fantastic price - you need a Les Paul Studio Faded! Gibson Les Paul Studio Features at a Glance:
The Gibson Les Paul Studio is equally at home on the stage as well as the studio - and makes for an incredible value!

Like always, thanks Alex Morales, for me receiving this guitar quickly from Sweetwater. I think it is a good guitar, that looks better than the pictures and plays better than I thought. I use to own a... read more [+] ES-345 a long time ago in a Country that use to be different. I now am potentially a criminal because of the recent Fed raid on Gibson again just recently.September 4, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist Recording Musician with an ear Besides the '59 profile neck that exist on this guitar vs. the other necks, it fits my big synth hands better then the '60's neck I remember on my long gone ES-345. And, and just think, with the chambered hollow body, you can hear this guitar without an amp, almost like a semi-hollow guitar (previously owned years ago in a land that was quite different back when). No, it does not have the more expensive better woods making the more expensive guitars, but then I am a piano player (on a synth nowadays) that can at least tune a guitar, and still will set up the guitar the way I want it. Sure, the humbuckers are not the best either, but for us low-life people (and again there are reasons for that) it will be fun to play the Blues to the Feds if they ever listened to anyone in the first and last place. Plus if you do not like the pickups which sound good also on this guitar, Sweetwater sells the other pickups you can change those out to. All in all, it's a Studio Version of a Les Paul that for the price, can not be beat, but please try and stay on the beat. (ya, guitar players, ya, that's you). Later on then........................stay tuned! close [-] Great sound !
