Customer Reviewsfrom Philadelphia Pa. January 21, 2012 Music Background: Hobbyist Best purchase I ever madeThis is the ultimate guitar ,affordable, great playability, great array of sounds that you can get out it even with a little practice amp.i am not a professional player but I always wanted a les Paul, and while I was window shopping a sweet water site I seen this axe did a double take at the price and just went for it.it came to my doorstep a few days later,I opened up the box and I was blown away.got a set up with my string gauge to make it my own and it plays itself.this is my second guitar from sweet water they are very good at what they do the guitar goes through a very thorough inspection before they ship and it is a great experience, from SEMO, usa January 20, 2012 Music Background: pro musician AwesomeThis guitar is amazing! Im super proud to own it.from Red Bank, NJ December 19, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist/Collector Best "Les" money can buy!I own or have owned every Gibson model "Les Paul" ever made and up until now my favorite was the "Les Paul" 2008 Standard, this new LP truly and honestly puts that very fine axe to shame. First, for any of you folks that are concerned this maodel has a "baked maple neck" instead of rosewood, we've run into dumb luck. I tell you hands down, the Baked Maple Neck is 1000 times smoother in terms of its' action then rosewood, you'll be shocked at action this axe has. Bottom line, we all know the price of this LP is very reasonable compared to the higher line LP's but the finish and the action make it a truly great buy. If you buy it, you be glad you did, no jive.from Crystal Lake, Il December 9, 2011 Music Background: 7 years amateur and still learning ImpressedThis Les Paul rocks. Sold my Les '60 reissue which was great. The classic custom is even better. Love the '57 p/ups. Sustain is great. The craftsmanship is flawless in all aspects. The guitar arrived setup - perfect. Won't buy from anyone else but Sweetwater. They do pay attention to detail and their customers.from Fort Wayne, In. December 8, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist Great GuitarThis guitar looks and plays great. The setup is perfect right out of the box. Sounds as good as it looks. Perfect addition to my collection. I think this will become my main guitar. Gibson hit a home run on this one.from Red Bank, NJ USA November 25, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist Way Ahead of the Pack!I was a little hesitant to purchase this LP as the fret board is made of what Gibson calls "Baked Maple" which sounds like an over cooked steak. We all know Gibson is having trouble securing rosewood, after you play this baby you'll wonder why they even bother to make them with rosewood fret boards, the "Baked Maple" looks a little lighter than rosewood but is absolutely "finger friendly" and running up and down the fret board playing scales is a dream, this is beyond argument the most reasonably priced sweetest playing LP that Gibson has ever made. Given what the other LP models cost, this model is a steal and I can honestly tell you, if you play it, you'll buy it and you'll be glad you did. This guitar practically plays itself and the tunes that come out of the '57 pickups coupled with the "Baked Maple" neck make this puppy a perfect 10, and the Antique Natural finish is flawless.
