I am a guitarist looking to have some percussive fun, and I really was not expecting such a well made product for the affordable price I paid for this set.I can only imagine upgrading years down the road, if and when I am so proficient that it makes sense to do so. These are really good and good sounding drums, and not just "for the money." I am extremely pleased with my purchase. For what it's worth, I ordered them on a Sunday evening and they were on my porch Tuesday morning, Sweetwater is definitely a top-shelf operation.
