Tama SLP classic maple

What a beautiful sound. I'm even using the stock head, and the definition and dynamics of this drum are amazing. You can play very soft and loud..this drum will follow. Well made and was packaged/shipped with care. Thanks to Sweetwater for the payment plan...it's worth the price, especially with Tama throwing in the free snare bag.

Nice!

Not usually moved to write reviews, but I felt this drum was worthy of some praise. Good dynamics and easy to tune. You can go high or low, whatever your preference may be, this drum sounds good. Using this currently with a small jazz kit and it rocks. Cuts through the mix nicely. I have several higher end snares from other manufacturers ($500 and up), but this one is by far the best value of them all. All maple shell and really nice hardware for under $300, seriously! Sweetwater delivers on time and they have the best customer service you could ask for. Gig bag was a nice bonus also.
