Amp Models: Clean Inspired by the Eden Traveler, this model is all about clean, funk, and fusion bass tone. It'll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need. R&B Inspired by a '68 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late '60s and early '70s clean fat bass tones. It's the kind of tone you hear on many Motown recordings. Rock This model is inspired by the '74 Ampeg SVT, which has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. Now, all the tone of the head and 300-lb. behemoth 8x10" cab is available without having to look up a chiropractor. Brit Based on a '68 Marshall Super Bass, this model delivers the kind of overdriven bass sounds brought to us by late '60s British rock pioneers like Cream and The Who. Grind As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers - Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT with a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that cuts through the mix and takes your sound to DEFCON 1. Astounding effects onboard The LowDown HD750 features a host of amazing effects! The studio-quality Compressor is ideal for every bass player and particularly useful for the ones who play with their fingers. An onboard Envelope Filter is based on the Q-Tron envelope filter heard on tons of major funk and rock tunes, while the Octaver effect produces a single note one octave below the note you're playing to add a powerful vibe to your sound. This amp also includes a very transparent, smooth, and expressive Chorus effect that won't reduce your low end. Sitting at the back of the model knob is a secret weapon that turns LowDown into a '70s classic bass synth. From funk to modern rock, this fully adjustable Synth effect delivers incredible tones while tracking every dynamic move you make! Line 6 LowDown HD750 750-watt Modeling Bass Amplifier Head Features:

After playing for many years back in the day I decided to start playing again so I looked at a lot of rigs and really couldn't find a combo that really does the job. Having played SVT's in the past bo... read more [+]ught a little ampeg b115a and fiine for around the house and all the other big time bass rigs cost a fortune. I saw this amp and the price and gave it a shot. It is loud, has a ton of different sounds and priced right. There are some sounds that come out of this thing I'm not sure what to do with yet, That too will take some time to figure out. I just bought the express pedal yesterday and it really is worth the 100.00 for changing effects and tuning. I do find that the controls are aranged backwards from any other amp I've ever owned, just going to take some getting used to. Better find the right cabinet because this thing has some power. I also put it in an SKB rack case yesterday to protect it. close [-]

I read some great reviews for this head, and I was really excited when it came in. I loved its versatility! I was pumped to be able to model a bunch of other amps, and expand my sound capability. P... read more [+]lus the onboard tuner was sick.November 21, 2010 Music Background: High School Bassist, All State Jazz Band But it was sketchy. The sub-octaver effect would work most of the time, but it wasn't practical for anything more than showing off to my friends. And the synth.. well It wouldn't even work!! I was ticked!! And no one wants a head with a defect, so I sent it back. .....and got one with the same problem. The sub-octaver worked a bit better, but the synth was just as poopy. I was sad =( So I am sending my Line 6 back again. Versatility isn't worth the coin-flip of hoping the channel I want to use works. I'm goin' for simplicity in my next rig. .....Orange anyone? close [-] Line 6 LowDown HD750
