Amp Models: Clean Inspired by the Eden Traveler, this model is all about clean, funk, and fusion bass tone. It’ll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need. R&B Inspired by a '68 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late '60s and early '70s clean fat bass tones. It's the kind of tone you hear on many Motown recordings. Rock This model is inspired by the '74 Ampeg SVT, which has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. Now, all the tone of the head and 300-lb. behemoth 8x10" cab is available without having to look up a chiropractor. Brit Based on a '68 Marshall Super Bass, this model delivers the kind of overdriven bass sounds brought to us by late '60s British rock pioneers like Cream and The Who. Grind As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers - Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT with a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that cuts through the mix and takes your sound to DEFCON 1. Astounding effects onboard The LowDown LD400 Pro features a host of amazing effects! The LA-2A-style Compressor is ideal for every bass player and particularly useful for the ones who play with their fingers. An onboard Envelope Filter is based on the Q-Tron envelope filter heard on tons of major funk and rock tunes, while the Octaver effect produces a single note one octave below the note you're playing to add a powerful vibe to your sound. This amp also includes a very transparent, smooth, and expressive Chorus effect that won't reduce your low end. Sitting at the back of the model knob is a secret weapon that turns LowDown into a '70s classic bass synth. From funk to modern rock, this fully adjustable Synth effect delivers incredible tones while tracking every dynamic move you make! Line 6 LowDown LD400 Pro 400-watt Modeling Bass Amplifier Features:
The Line 6 LowDown LD400 Pro packs a roomful of legendary bass rigs into one compact amp combo!

Reviewsbased on 2 reviewsThe amp is great!
by Rob Boynton from Florida
I bought this amp and used it the first night I received the amp. I play in a house band and do everything from southern and classic rock, to blues and country, so I need a wide variety of tones. This... read more [+] amp does it all, and does it well. I paired the amp with a Peavey 15" cabinet and with 650 watts with an extension cab, this amp has plenty of power to keep me rocking at the same level as drums and guitars, and that's with the amp only turned up less than half way! This is a great sounding amp, and each of the 5 amp modulations have their own distinctive tones. I would highly recommend this amp to any serious gigging bass player who needs a variety of tones at their disposal. My next purchase will be a shortboard to control the amp. I can't wait! close [-]

Prior to this amp I used Ampeg gear exclusively.I play a Fender Precision and a Musicman Sterling.I got tired of hauling my big Ampeg SVT rig and effects around and decided to try out this lowdown be... read more [+]ast. I was not disappointed! With the built in models and effects you've got everything you need for a great show.Great tone and it is plenty loud.I added a short board so I could leverage a tuner and adjust the banks at my feet. Now all I take to my show is this amp and the foot board!I use the rig exclusively for all my cover gig shows (about 3-4 a month) and so far its been a tank. close [-]
