A Handy FireWire Interface that's Easy to Use! The TC Electronic Desktop Konnekt 6 FireWire audio interface and monitor controller gives you the tools you need to concentrate on making great recordings with a minimum amount of fuss. Desktop Konnekt 6 features an intuitive layout, with a large volume knob, easy-to-read meters and convenient controls right at hand. The built-in M40 reverb plug-in gives performers a comfortable sonic monitoring environment, while the included Cubase LE audio production software lets you get started recording right away with the Desktop Konnekt 6. TC Electronic Desktop Konnekt 6 FireWire Audio Interface/Monitor Controller at a Glance: Take control Scenes High resolution meter, reverb for monitoring Headphones and preamp Take control The Desktop Konnekt 6 audio interface features a selected choice of monitor control right on hand. Use the direct monitor knob to control the direct monitor level directly from the top panel of Desktop Konnekt. Together with the DIM switch and the MONO switch you have all the monitor functions you need at hand. The control panel gives you full control over your monitor mix, including the M40 Studio Reverb, and the large volume knob is always within reach With a volume control independent from the computer - between the computer and the active speakers - you can always turn down the volume, no matter what your computer does. Scenes Scene Select functionality gives you easy access to three independent scenes or "setups." The three default presets are for Microphone and guitar, two guitars/basses, and a stereo line signal. High resolution meter, reverb for monitoring The high resolution meter onboard the Desktop Konnekt 6 gives you precise information about levels. With clear level indication, you can always monitor the level of the input signal and if you're near clipping. You can also choose to use the meter for mastering purposes. For monitoring convenience, the built-in M40 reverb is available as part of your monitor mix. You can control the reverb level directly from the top panel of Desktop Konnekt, and you can set reverb parameters using the control panel on the computer. Besides being part of the monitor mix, the M40 Studio Reverb is also available as a natively running VST/AU plug-in, allowing you to use it as part of your recording session in your PC or Mac. Headphones and preamp The headphone output has its own powerful amplifier and a separate converter, which makes you able to assign separate mix signal independent from what you hear in your monitor speakers. TC is renowned for its mic preamps; they're among the finest mic preamps on the market. Desktop Konnekt comes with an IMPACT™ preamp for incredibly clear results. Premium Hi-Z instrument inputs are also onboard.
