Despite its simplicity, the Keystation 49e includes a 49-note full-size, velocity-sensitive keyboard for an authentic playing experience. Pitch bend and modulation wheels allow you to make the most of soft synth patches. the Keystation 49e also includes a sustain pedal input so you can add a pedal for realistic piano and instrument sustains.

USB bus power, plus built-in MIDI interface
Connect the Keystation 49e to your computer via its USB port and you can run it on bus power - no additional power cord needed! If you prefer you can add a 9-volt DC power adapter to use the Keystation 49e without a computer, to control your hardware sound modules. The USB port also acts as a MIDI interface between the Keystation 49e and the computer, so you don't need a separate interface. It also features a 5-pin MIDI out port to connect to outboard gear.

Included Maximum Audio Tools software for instant music making
Included with the Keystation 49e, the M-Audio Maximum Audio Tools bundle provides software to get you started making music. The Keystation 49e also includes Live Lite 4, a version of the popular Ableton Live interactive music creation program. In addition, the Keystation 49e is compatible with most educational and studio software. The Keystation 49e is class-compliant with OS X and Windows XP, which means you can just plug it in and play - no driver installation needed.
