Dual Tube Sound and High-fidelity

If you thought tube amps were only for guitarists, Motion Sound is here to change your mind with a tube-based keyboard amp! The KT-80 provides a hi-fidelity input channel for clean transparent amplification of piano and synth, and a versatile 12AX7 real tube channel to add warmth and overdrive to organ and electric piano! A third input switches your sound from hi-fidelity to 12AX7 tube on demand using an optional foot pedal.

I bought this amp several years ago, and just love it. I can't believe no one has reviewed it, so I had to. It's very portable and sounds great. I love how the vintage B3, Rhodes, Wurli & Clav soun... read more [+]ds on my Roland XP80 sound through this amp. The tube channel does warm them up and you can dial in what you want using the pre and post gain knobs and the contour. String pads sound lush through the hi fi input and this separate channel has bass and treble controls as well as a separate volume knob for tweaking. The footswitch is a must for changing between the two settings hands free. It's been loud enough for me in live situations as well in small to medium sized clubs without the need for miking. close [-]
