I bought the stereo pair of these mics for recording acoustic guitar. Still waiting on my interface so I've only used one at a time, but I can say that this is a super accurate microphone with very l... read more [+]ittle coloring. If anything I would characterize it as a slight metallic sheen on top, nothing that a good preamp couldn't warm up. Picks up harmonics particularly well - highs are defined and clear, good lows and mids. Just needs a little more warmth like I say, but for a stereo pair of small's this is about as good as you can get outside Neumans. Perhaps for the money it's even a better deal. Someone recommended I go with these over and above the SM-81's. These were well worth it and also available in a stereo pair. Very accurate. close [-]
