Motion Sound KeyPro KP-200S ReviewsSweetwater Advice

Playing a keyboard through a mono amp is like watching a 3-D movie with one eye closed; it totally misses the point. Motion Sound makes some of the best-sounding stereo keyboard amps I've seen (or heard). You owe it to yourself, your keyboard, and your sounds to plug into one and hear what you've been missing.
Customer Reviewsfrom West L.A. November 11, 2006 Music Background: just a player, in 3 bands Finally able to hear where all that 'expansion board' money was going!I was switching out sound cards,, buying different expansion boards, and even trading Keyboards,, untill I finally talked to the Guys at Motion Sound about amping my rig,, and they suggested this, a True Sterio Amp. Now that's what a Piano should sound like ! also - get the Leslie cabinet from them (rotating drum and horn) for your Organ sounds and everyone will go WoW ! I bought a folding cart to carry all that and my keys, cuz it is quite a load,, but so worth it when ya get there !from Springfield, IL July 30, 2006 Music Background: Keyboardist, Piano Tuner-Technician, Church Sound Tech Sweet clean stereo in a single sturdy boxPlenty of clean deep stereo sound, with versatility to spare. Only missing i/o is effects loop. Sturdy construction throughout. Able to expand volume with slave/sub units or balanced outs to PA. Balanced outs make it a no-latency recording monitor, too.My wife and I do "music and message" ministry work. We put her microphone through the balanced input for channel 2 with no spread, my keyboard through channel 1 with expansion. An effects loop would let her have reverb. Amp has had plenty of power for churches and outdoor weddings and picnics. Amp is too big for the stand I tried, but a hard-shell case could be used for one I suppose. Recommend a fold-up handcart for distance toting. Definitely one of the best sound investments I've ever made.

from Minneapolis, MN February 1, 2005 Best self-contained keyboard amp out thereI have this amp and like it. You get a powered mixer with ten inputs, all together, and two speakers, all in a single box.The sound quality is way better than any other keyboard amp on the market, but is not as good as you would get from a mixer and some really high end powered monitors. I bought this thing to take to rehearsals and small gigs, and it works great for that. I can hear what I'm playing, and depending on the situation we run the direct outs to the board. It is loud enough to compete with energetic drummers. Because of its weight and bulk, I find that as a practical matter it takes two people to carry this amp any distance. |
