The Luna Overdrive is high class crunch!

I am not a guitarist but a producer who hires A list guitarists in Nashville. So far two guys with album credits a mile long have loved my luna pedal! One has already purchased one and the other plans to. The 'modern' and 'classic' modes give you incredible tonal versatility. 5 stars all the way.

Luna over the others!

I have owned so many overdrives and distortion pedals I thought I would never be satisfied. My last was a Keeley Mod Blues Driver (BD2). I was looking for that special cream rich, yet articulate overdrive. (bordering on Distortion). The Keeley Lana Overdrive nailed it. I love the tone controls. They allow me to shape my overdriven sound to any of my Guitar/Amp combinations. It is a wonderful overdrive for the studio. Noise? What noise? Very Quiet and highly flexible!!!! Robert Keeley is famous for his overdrive mods. This is his baby!!!

Keeley Luna Overdrive

This pedal is beautifully finished. It does what it claims with aplumb. It has a Baxandall tone circuit, which a lot of your home hi fidelity strereos use, that gives youmuch more latitude in adjusting your tone. Just love this feature, it's very useful. Actually I bought this pedal just for that reason alone. I don't use the overdrive much, but when I do it is just enough to put a little hair on the notes which it does very nicely. I don't use the modded switch at all but can see where most people would. When adjusting the overdrive you will need to readjust the master control each time that you change the amount of overdrive to keep the volume at the same level. The controls are very responsive and take a little time to get accustomed to. Unfortunately, I dropped mine from knee high onto the floor(day two!)and need to have it repaired. Works fine on battery but buzzes on the adapter power. Didn't seem like such a big hit. I cannot attest to it's robustness.

What a gorgeous overdrive! I'm running this pedal in front of the Keeley 4-knob compressor instead of behind, and it sings like an angel. It's really two overdrives, with a switch for "classic" and "modded" sounds. I find the "classic" side to be buttery, silky smooth up to 12:00, with higher gain settings conjuring more harmonic overtones and controlled feedback when paired with a high sustain setting on a compressor. It really sounds like a tweed amp being cranked to the point of power tube saturation, very close to that. The EQ tone controls really set this pedal apart: set the high and low to minimum and you accentuate the midrange of your tone like a classic tube screamer, or set them higher for a more modern sound. It LOVES single coils on the classic side. The "modded" side is a higher gain structure that sounds awesome for humbuckers and more modern sounds. This is a really versatile pedal that goes from subtle boost to scream, and obviously has had a lot of thought put into it for all its simplicity. VERY well made, extremely quiet on a pedalboard, and small enough to fit into a tight space. I'll be keeping this one a long time.
