Great in medium gauge too

I wrote a review for the 1818 light gauge strings, but I must add that I use the medium gauge too on a Martin D35. These are just awesome strings and I have never found anything that sounds better. ... read more [+]r />I do believe the winding of the 5th and 6th strings makes a difference, and this is NOT an all-out-of-the-same-factory string as you can tell from the solid ball ends on all these strings.There is nothing generic about how these strings sound. close [-]

After using other strings on my guitars for over 35 years, I can hones... read more [+]tly say that these are the only strings I will ever use on my acoustics from now on. I put these strings on a newer Martin D-35 and it went from sounding good... but sort of bland, to sounding like a grand piano! close [-]
